A scenic spot created by the erosion of Tenryu River. "Tenryu Gorge"
The scenery of strangely shaped cliffs and trees that decorate the gorge stretches for about 2km.

Tenryu River changes colors depending on the day, from deep emerald green to transparent jade.
On the Tenryu River Boat Ride, you can see up close the trees that change color with the seasons and the impressive cliffs.
On the promenade, you can take a leisurely stroll through plants that bloom in different colors throughout the year, including cherry blossoms, mountain lilies, and azaleas.

"Tenryu Gorge Ohashi" is a bridge on the Sanen Nanshin Expressway that spans Tenryu River.(Opened in 2019.)
There is a promenade under the bridge girder, and you can have the unique experience of walking under the expressway.
Below you are Tenryu River and JR Iida Line.
You can enjoy the impressive view from a height of 80m.

Iida City is a famous spot for ``single cherry blossoms,'' with many old cherry trees that are over several hundred years old scattered throughout the city.
It is said that Yasumasa Wakisaka, the lord of Iida domain during Edo period, planted cherry blossoms in 48 locations within his domain in honor of Amida's 48 Vows (*).

This is the place where Nagano Yoshimitsu Temple of Iida first enshrined the principal image (Ikko Sanzon Amida Nyorai) before moving to Zenkoji Temple in Nagano.
At the time of his transfer, he vowed to return to Iida for 15 days every month, so it is said that if he does not visit both Nagano Yoshimitsu Temple and Iida Moto Zenkoji, it is a one-day visit.
The Gokaicho is a major event held once every seven years, where the Gohonzon is opened to the public and is very popular.

Take the ropeway to Heavens Sonohara an altitude of 1,400m while overlooking the majestic Minami Alps.
Inside the park, there is a ``two-seater pair lift'' that allows you to relax over a flower field that spreads out at your feet.
You can enjoy a walk along the deck road in the virgin forest ``Iwana no Mori'' for forest therapy.

Take Komagatake Ropeway and enter the world at an altitude of 2,500m in Chuo Alps.
The ropeway has a height difference of 950m from the starting point to the ending point, and you can see the spectacular Senjojiki view of Chuo Alps below.

Once you get off the ropeway, you can hike along the promenade that goes around Senjojiki Cirque.
A refreshing summer when pretty alpine plants bloom all over the curls, and an autumn when the entire mountain surface shines golden.
From winter to spring, the area is covered in snow, and you can enjoy the deep blue sky and pure white winter scenery.

Senjojiki has a ropeway, so you can easily enjoy the magnificent scenery from high places.

A famous spot where approximately 1,500 Takato Ohigan cherry trees cover the castle ruins.
It produces small, reddish flowers.
In autumn, about 250 maple trees turn red, creating a quaint castle park.

A temple built on a hill overlooking Chuo Alps.
It is a temple with a splendid Sanmon gate over 12 meters high and three-colored wisteria.
Around May, the wisteria trellis in the precincts blooms in three colors: white, purple, and peach, with a sweet fragrance.

On a hill overlooking Chuo Alps, 5,000 colorful irises of 200 species bloom brightly.
You can enjoy irises from April to May and roses from May to June.

A stone mill temple with a garden filled with 2,000 stone mills donated by people since Edo period.
2,500 hydrangeas bloom beautifully in this garden, on the grounds, and on the back mountain.

The launch site "Tenryu River Suijin Bridge" is right in front of this facility!
On this day, impressive large fireworks will be set off right in front of your eyes, overlooking the magnificent Tenryu River and Minami Alps.
